USS Intrepid, an aircraft carrier built in World War 2, fought in the Pacific surviving five kamikaze attacks and one torpedo strike later to serve during Cold War and Vietnam War. Decommissioned in 1974 USS Intrepidbecame museum on the Hudson River in New York City.
