Vang stave church is the biggest attraction in Karpacz. It was built in the twelfth century in the town of Vang in southern Norway in the initial period of the Christianization of Scandinavia. It is very old temple, estimates it to have been built around 1200, but may have been rebuilt already in the medieval period about 1600. The church was moved in Karkonosze mountains thanks to the efforts of Countess Frederica von Reden. The temple was built by combining elements of Romanesque art from the Nordic folk. It is made of Norwegian pine, which is saturated with resin exhibits outstanding durability. On the door are carved runic inscriptions, perhaps signatures of the contractors. Very interesting is the story spread on the part of the church, its transportation and resubmit in Karpacz.
