KattenKabinet was created by William Meijer to commemorate his favorite cat Tom, also called John Pierpont Morgan (known American banker). Tom lived from 1966 to 1983, a museum dedicated to him was opened seven years after his death. Cat lovers necessarily recommend it. It is very funny, small museum. Museum is beautifully decorated, there were many small with figures of cats. It is the only Europe museum of cats. The museum exposition is lot of feline-themed works: paintings, sculptures, photographs, drawings and posters. They occupy even the stairwell and hallway. Some of them are taken by such renowned artists as Pablo Picasso, Rembrandt and Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec. The Museum cooperates with renowned institutions such as the Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh Museum and the Kunsthal. It should be added that Cat?s Museum published a few years ago, a great Cat album (Cat-a-Logue), which today is a collector?s item.
