Museum of Rural Musical Instruments housed in a Gothic-Renaissance castle in Szydlowiec, located on an island surrounded by a moat, in a romantic park setting. The castle was built between 1470-1526, it was for years one of the most beautiful aristocratic residences. Museum is unique in its kind, is a peculiarity among many other museums in the country. The museum is the first in the world standalone museum dedicated to folk musical instruments. The museum collection is beyond folk instruments also set the major laboriously collected by all subsequent directors of institutions, instruments German, Austrian, Czech, Italian, French or Russian, instruments that were withdrawn from circulation, reconstructions instruments that are known only from source materials. It has also finally destructs original and extremely primitive, downright bizarre folk instruments.
