Houses of Weavers in Chemsko Slaskie. It is a small city on the Bober near the border with the Czech Republic. It used to be weaving center, as in the seventeenth century weavers were brought here from the Czech Republic and of Bavaria, producing linen and damask. With time, the city and the weaving industry declined, mainly due to historical changes. To this day, they preserved wooden houses of weavers, with arcades and gables protruding shielding the entrance to the hall. Inside home was a living room and a workshop, which resulted in output over a small river, because the water was used to wash cloth. These houses so-called Twelve Apostles and today survived 11 buildings, as one burned down. With houses Seven Brothers manufacturers damask survived only one building.
