Piotrkowska Street is a representative street of Lodz, has a length about 4.2 km and is the longest street in Europe. It was established with the first settlement of Lodz about 1821. Street in its current form has undergone a gradual revitalization (after 1990) and turned into a kind of pedestrian. Buildings, urban planning, institutions, restaurants, clubs and pubs located in the street near her create a special atmosphere of the cult character. Almost all major public administration offices, offices of banks, shops, restaurants and plenty of pubs are taking place there. It is here that takes place the majority of Lodz events, festivals, marches and state ceremonies. There is a monument Lodz Turn of the Millennium that is personal to the holder surface covering the portion of Piotrkowska Street; it is probably the only such monument in the world, currently containing 13,454 registered ankle. On the Piotrkowska Street we find the Avenue of Stars along the lines of Hollywood. All along the street there are plenty of houses, palaces, villas, churches and monuments.
