Close Leczyca lies the village Tum, with a very old Romanesque collegiate church, called the collegiate Leczyca. It is here that first arose in Poland (the late tenth century) Benedictine abbey dedicated to the Virgin Mary and St. Alexius was probably the initiator of St. Adalbert. Collegiate of archdiocese construction began in the twelfth century, has for years been charged by the Tatars, Lithuanians, Swedes. She was also rebuilt, including in the eighteenth century in the classical style. It was not until the Second World War led to the destruction of the collegiate church, but after the war it was rebuilt and restored to its rank collegiate of archdiocese.
