Leczyca is a town whose origins date back to the X-XIII centuries. In the eleventh and twelfth centuries was the most important city of the province. Over the next centuries was the center of trade and handicrafts, the place of gatherings of princes and kings. It has numerous monuments, among others, Benedictine monastery of the seventeenth century, the church Andrew from the late fifteenth century, a castle complex from the sixteenth to the eighteenth century (now a museum).
