Chocholow is a little village in Poland located in the Malopolska province, situated in the valley of the brook Black Dunajec, in the highest Polish Tatra mountains. It is today one of the most beautiful villages of Podhale, built almost entirely of original highland huts, most of them built in the old highlander style at the turn of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, built of logs. To local tradition should wash them out with water and soap twice a year, at Easter and Corpus Christi. Settlement reached the areas Chocholow in the mid-sixteenth century. In addition, in Chocholow we can see Uprising Museum housed in front of the church where the interesting exhibition is presented historical-ethnographic - interiors also show the daily life of highlanders family in the nineteenth century. In the village there is a church of the nineteenth century and the regional chamber where you can buy souvenirs carved by the host. Tourists who come to us, they will be able to participate in interactive activities like; embroidery, metalwork, product mountain cheeses, traditional production of butter, competitions friction cabbage and many other ancient activities related to the endangered professions.
