Bierkeller "U Fleku" is the oldest and most famous brewery restaurant in the world. Its foundation dates back to 1499 years, when Vit Skremenec, brewer, began to brew in one of the houses on the street Kremencowej. In 1762 the brewery took over Jacob Flekovsky and it took his name from the name of the brewery. Here is brewed only one kind of beer - unfiltered Flekovsky 13 Tmavt Lezak, lager, dark lager strong flavored cream and coffee with a distinct hint of hops. Next to the main premises there is a small museum where you can admire the old vats, oak containers and other items related to the history of brewing. The atmosphere of the brewery is further highlighted by a stylish decoration and furniture of all restaurant halls – the fabled, peculiar „Academy“, where celebrities of the 19th and early 20th century used to meet, the hall called „Václavka“ with stained glass windows, or the Knights‘ Hall, rebuilt and equipped in a romantic style.
